The Institute for Rural Initiatives contributes a lot to facilitation of quality education in rural Moldova. Besides homework facilitation sessions children from 2 schools are provided with set of school supplies and lunch tickets.
Thus, during October-November 2016 IRI provided 100 children studying at “Gribova” Gymnasium, Gribova, Drochia, and “Ion Creanga” Lyceum, Zirnesti, Cahul, with sets of school supplies and lunch tickets, essential for a quality education process, but cannot be afforded by their parents.
If homework facilitation sessions aim at facilitating a better assimilation of the school material then vouchers for school supplies and lunch tickets ensure children’s participation and equip them for a qualitative education process in a healthy environment.
Simultaneously, the Institute for Rural Initiatives organized 2 working sessions with beneficiaries’ parents and the administration of the schools, mentioned above. During the sessions were discussed challenges faced in the implementation of the program, efficient ways of overcoming them as well as was emphasized the important role of parents in the education of the children and the importance of encouragement for kids to excel in school.
The initiative is implemented by the Institute for Rural Initiatives and its local partners, with the support of Liechtenstein Development Service Foundation (LED Moldova).
