At the request of many Roma community leaders on July 20, 2013 the Institute for Rural Initiatives organized in Chisinau the second session within the training course on growing civic participation among a number of Roma leaders in Moldova. As in the first session, which took place on February 1, 2013, the primary objective of the training was enhancing knowledge regarding the work with the computer.
Besides continuing studying the basics of computer work (Word documents, email, search engines) participants were trained in small groups to work on common interest issues of their localities.
This session mobilized 12 activists from different parts of the country (Parcani, Chetrosu, Gribova, Carpineni, Hincesti, Soroca). Participants declared about their satisfaction with the acumulated amount of information and with the organization of this event.
This activity was implemented by the Institute for Rural Initiatives with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Moldova as a part of the “Growing Roma inclusion in Moldova: building capacity and facilitating Roma equal participation” project.
