Today children from several schools in Moldova will have a strong motivation for a better learning

Today children from several schools in the Republic of Moldova will have a strong motivation to learn better. There are about 60 children from three schools across the country who will benefit from the education voucher program.

These vouchers are to bring positive results to both students who encounter difficulties in assimilating educational material, and students who have demonstrated good school performance and want to excel in certain subjects at school. At the same time the beneficiary students are offered school supplies needed to improve the teaching situation and school lunch tickets as an aid to cover regular monthly payment for school meals.

Until now, there have been orginized a number of activities to train teachers from the target schools. Also there has been created a database that will allow to compare the project results before and after the intervention. A special emphasis is placed on the meetings with parents of beneficiary children. The participants discuss a number of issues, and namely the importance of formal education, the necessity to participate in school life and to change attitudes towards the process of education.

In the nearest future there will be organized a series of complementary activities designed to add an extra value to the project.
