ERYM – Empowering Rural Youth in Moldova

ERYM – Empowering Rural Youth in Moldova

ERYM is a three-year empowerment program implemented by the Institute for Rural Initiatives (iRi). The project is aimed at enabling Moldovan youth to discover their talents, passions and interest and develop them in a way that helps young people maximize their potential and become active, healthy and passionate members of their communities.

The project is designed to encourage and equip young people to value existing local opportunities as they grow as responsible citizens enjoying their life seasons.

The project’s young people will participate in various training sessions, workshops, mentoring activities etc. within the Youth Life Academy. Participants will explore areas such as arts and culture, gastronomy, sports, digital skills and media etc. – all subjects of their interests and passions. The project will also provide opportunities for youth to implement community initiatives through a small grants program, encouraging them to turn their ideas of community engagement into real actions.

ERYM aims to create communities where young people are valued, supported, and empowered to actively shape their future as well as the future of their communities.

By the end of the project, around 500 young people will benefit from improved access to inclusive and high-quality youth services leading to empowered and responsible young people ready to take a role in both their future and the future of Moldova.

ERYM project is implemented by the Institute for Rural Initiatives (iRi) and financed by Sweden via Fryshuset.
