Local Roma activists become closer to a quality participation in their communities

On March 13, 2013 the Institute for Rural Initiatives organized in Chisinau the 3rd training on developing abilities for better participation while discussing public policies. The training was focused on building partnerships and cooperation skills at the local level among Roma communities through the prism of strategic planning.

The participants learnt about what a plan of actions consists of and why building partnerships is connected to strategic planning. They were informed about the theory and then were organized in small groups for practicing their knowledge. The expert commented on every presentation and offered recommendations on the presented plans.

At the end of the training the participants concluded about their need to pay a greater attention towards the planning process and towards the plan of actions they ought to develop in the course of the project in thier communities.

This activity was organized by the Institute for Rural Initiatives with the support of Open Society Institute from Budapest.
